Google is going to become a part of the online gaming industry

During the last few years the online gambling industry has grown and expanded massively. It has such a big success that from a small venture with a handful of games it grew quickly into a huge industry.

Well established brands such as Google are looking to dive into the gaming industry too.

Inspired by the success of online casinos Google is also looking to enter the gaming industry with its own video gaming studio.

The latest reports state that the tech giant Alphabet is in the process of accessing the prospects of venturing into gaming. Google is especially interested to get into video and console games market.

There are 3 main areas which Google is trying to step into the gaming industry. These areas include competing against well-established brands, streaming service and the gaming studio.

Main areas of interest

The console and video gaming market is the first area Google is currently trying to dive in. As main competitors Google has marked Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. From the other hand Google can use its own brand force and start competing against the established brands too. 

The streaming service is the second option Google is also looking to enter. This will be a combination of Amazon’s Twitch and Youtube. Gamers will have access to video games too. By logging into the streaming service users will be able to choose any game. When the game has been selected it will load and it will be ready to be played. There is a current discussion about the fact if these games will be free or players will have to pay for them. The success is more or less guaranteed as Google is going to bring a similar product to Amazon’s Twitch and Youtube. 

Establishing their very own in-house video gaming studio is the third option. This studio will incorporate features from the first two options described above and will definitely compete against brands established on the market stage such as Glu Mobile, Zynda and Electronic Sports. A top game developer will be probably recruited to develop consoles for players to use when playing streamed games on Google’s Streaming Services.
